To plan and make an audio presentation as a way of pitching our magazine in a professional and detailed manner in order to appeal to the publisher

  1. When public speaking, what is it important to remember to do?
  • Speak in a professional manner
  • Speak clearly
  • Know what you are saying (No erms or ums)
  • Don't go off task
  • Be relevant
  • Say enough
  • Plan

    2. If a publisher was listening to your pitch, what would they want to know about your project?

  • What its about
  • What its aim is (e.g. Profit, entertainment, etc)
  • If you think it will become a success
  • If you are dedicated to it (e.g. a plan, schedule, etc)
  • Who your target audience are
  • Cost and potential income
  • Personally passionate about the contents of this magazine

  1. Well done in this submission of your audio presentation. I will now (as I have with the rest of the class) ask you some questions about your project which I will expect you to answer in as much detail as possible under this comment so it is visable. You will be assessed on how you respond in the best way you can. Please provide at least 1 paragraph.

If you had the chance to interview a real life music star for this magazine, who would you choose and why?

  2. If I had to interviews someone I would interview Calvin Harris because he's a famous dance artist which is at the top of his game at the moment. This means that he will attract the appeal of the audience because most people will want to read about him. I would ask him: When he started, why he started, how he started, who inspired him, How being a success changed his life, what equipment does he use, when did he start becoming a success and what he's interested in. These questions should hopefully give me some ideas as to what other articles I could write i.e. How to become a success, What's the best gear to use.
